Lace up, we'll handle the rest together. There's no such thing as too slow here. The group runs with you, not ahead of you.
You head out when everything lines up: weather, time, headspace. If one of them doesn't, you stay in. Next time it is harder. Eventually the shoes stay by the door.
That is not a character flaw. On your own, the only thing carrying you is your own motivation, and that comes and goes. What is missing is the part that comes from outside.
In the 1920s the psychologist Otto Köhler observed something that has been confirmed many times since: people push harder as part of a group than they do alone. It shows up most clearly in the weakest member.
It works when the group depends on every single member and nobody is left behind. Like a roped party on a mountain: it is only as fast as its slowest member. Which is exactly why that member pushes hardest.
The trigger is above all the feeling of being indispensable to the group. People who are needed keep going considerably longer than they would alone.
The effect only appears when nobody gets dropped. That is what the no-drop marker is for: the group stays together, nobody runs back alone. It is not a nice extra, it is the mechanism.
It is no accident that the best runners in the world train in fixed groups, every day, for years. You do not need a training camp in Kenya for that. You need three people from your city who show up on Thursday at seven.
People who are needed don't stop. That is exactly what a steady group gives you.
Pace, distance and time are shown up front on every run. You see at a glance whether it fits you.
One click. If the run is full, you go on the waitlist and move up automatically.
You meet at the meeting point and set off together.
Whoever creates a run can mark it as no-drop. Then the group stays together and nobody runs back alone. Any pace, beginners welcome.
A look at what is planned right now.
Only the area is public. The exact meeting point is visible to confirmed participants only.
Names and profiles of the group are visible before the run. No surprises at the meeting point.
You see before joining whether the group stays together. No promise buried in the small print.
